[ They agreed to meet outside the Pollux, right? She better not had forgotten the name, there was no telling where else she'd end up. It took him forever to give the party an excuse to be alone for a while. Not to mention he'd just be felt standing outside here like a total bum. Which he was.

But that wasn't the point.

He looked up. The dark clouds covering the city were definitely not going to leave anytime soon. Jeez, it was going to be weird explaining to her that it was only raining inside the city...well, she was going to be swimming later anyway, wasn't like getting a little wet was going to be too bad for her. He closed his eyes, leaning against the wall next to the inn entrance. Any minute now.

[She puts down two buckets and hands him a shovel with a smile.]

You have to run to the line, fill your shovel, and make it back to your bucket. The first one to fill it up wins!

[Sure, there's no problems playing physical games with a guy who can kill monsters. None.]

Hmm. [ That sounded a little...easy. ]

You sure there isn't more to that? [ He took the shovel she handed to him. ] Sounds like it'd be a short game.

We didn't even make the line yet.

[That was all the site said... it would be the first time for her too.]

Hm. [ He looked out. ]

You decide where the line is. And I'll give you a ten second head start.

I don't need a head start! [She grins.] I'm fast!

[ Jeez, he's trying to be fair. ]

If you say so. Want me to go draw the line?

[mightletyouknowme]

[She moved to stand in front of him and then turned around.] Take twenty steps and draw it.

[second_star]

Yes, your highness. [ He gave a small, absentminded wave, before he did as he was told, walking twenty steps, and making a line with a stick, before walking back. ]

On your count?

[mightletyouknowme]

Wait.

[She's standing on her side, arms up, pinning her hair. That would make it easier to run.] Run up, grab your shovel, run back and dig!

[She looked up at him.] GO!

[And she was running!]

[ Jeez, no time to grab his shovel bucket! She already took off as he grabbed them. She was really intent on winning, huh?

Not that he was one to turn down a challenge. He took off, catching up to her easily. She might have been fast, but he was an ex-knight. ]

You sure you didn't want that headstart? [ He said as he passed her, landing on the line and starting to fill his shovel. ]

[She's so surprised that she scrambles and has to catch herself, eyes wide as she tries to run faster to catch up.]

W...wait!

[second_star]

[ He's already got his bucket full as she finally catches up. ] See you at the starting line!

[ He really should feel bad, but hey. He offered the handicap. He took back off towards the start. ]

[Desperation is kicking in and she doesn't even bother with the shovel. She attempts to scoop it straight to the bucket, using her hand to keep it from scooting too far.]

You didn't win yet!

[second_star]

[ Man...this was a little harsh. She should have factored that he was in way better shape then her but...hey, why not?

He stopped, pretending to catch his breath. ]

I'm gonna win! You'll [ Huff ] see. [ Heh, at least until she started running again. ]

[Wait, she CAN still win. Grinning, she's still running, basket held out safely.

She does, though, run much like girls are portrayed as running.]

[ Looked like she was back at his side. No time to feel bad now. He got up from his "tired" position, sprinting after her until he was side by side. ]

Well, you almost won, at least. [ He shot her a smile, before running past her and sliding back into their starting point. ]

1st place.

[She walks the rest of the way, the bucket dropped beside him, her lips pressed together.]

It was close! I would win next time!

Sure you would, Sena. [ He gave a small laugh, as he pat her on the head. ]

Any other games?

Hmph! [She's not a dog! But she is breathing hard. She needs to buy time to regain her energy.]

Don't you have any?

Last time I went swimming like this, I'm pretty sure I was 14 or something. I don't remember we played back then.

We can build stuff with a sand. I already did a castle, though. Or we could play ball in the water. Collect shells...

[She sounds like she's naming something from a list.]

[ He didn't know if he found any of those really fun, but...She looked like she was just enjoying being here, so he wasn't going to ruin it. ]

Let's build more castles, then. Bigger ones.

Then we'll add to it! [She has to do bigger and better, too.] We'll do a treasure hunt to fill the treasure room!

Not sure you're gonna find much treasure around here. [ He smiled anyway, grabbing one of the buckets, beginning to fill it up with sand. ]

Make the barricade, I'm going to look for some more shells in the water.

[For the room and secretly for her bracelet/necklace. She liked the idea.]
