[ They agreed to meet outside the Pollux, right? She better not had forgotten the name, there was no telling where else she'd end up. It took him forever to give the party an excuse to be alone for a while. Not to mention he'd just be felt standing outside here like a total bum. Which he was.

But that wasn't the point.

He looked up. The dark clouds covering the city were definitely not going to leave anytime soon. Jeez, it was going to be weird explaining to her that it was only raining inside the city...well, she was going to be swimming later anyway, wasn't like getting a little wet was going to be too bad for her. He closed his eyes, leaning against the wall next to the inn entrance. Any minute now.

Arrgh. Aye aye, Captain Sena! [ He started to add on more to the castle, humming a very..."pirate-y" tune as he went. ]

You should save some shells to take back home.

[She hears him singing and laughs as she begins to look.

Captain Sena. She liked that.

If he looked, he would sometimes see her looking over at him, checking it out.]

[ He's already got quite a pile going. Looks less like a castle and more like a house, though. ]

So, do you do things like this with your friends back home?

[She moves beside him, hands going to try to reshape some edges.]

I don't have any. [It's easy enough to be honest about that now.] A castle has to be bigger and it looks different.

Excuse me for not knowing how to build a castle. [ He grinned anyway, though. ]

Besides, you have friends. What, am I not good enough?

They have them here, right?

[But she's smiling. She never got to use the word before she came here.]

It's been years since I did this, you think I'd remember? I was like...what...14? Maybe?

Point is, I forgot.

[She made one tower.] More of these, just different sizes. We need to make windows, too.

We don't need windows, no one's going to live in it.

Of course we need windows! What kind of castle doesn't have windows?!

A sand castle. [ Grin. ]

Hey, that's mean. [ Though that just got a laugh out of him, as he started poking holes for the windows. ]

I'll admit, this is pretty fun.

[She smiles over at him. This kinda thing is pretty fun, especially when you're not doing it alone.]

[She's shaping out windows.]

If it was your castle, everybody would always have to carry torches.

I'd be quite the evil tyrant. They'd have to call me "Thy Dungeon Master". Off with all their heads, yada yada.

You couldn't find their heads in a dark castle.

[She looks up, holding up a finger.] And no blood in my castle. That's gross.

Of course, your royal highness. [ He did a mock bow. ] Only solid gold and lots of windows for thou.

You're a slow learner but it looks like you're learning.

[She made an especially large window.] This is going to be my room!

Good idea. You'll get a perfect view of the executions that way.

Since I'm going to pick who'll be executed, that's good!

[It's easier to say that in a world not full of death and fighting.]

[ He laughed at that. ] You sound like you've been royalty your whole life. [ He stood, brushing the sand off his pants. ]
